Fiction Favorites
[ Brand exploration ]
Some watch their favorite sitcom or movie and wonder what it would be like to know the characters in real life. I wondered, what if they were my client? These speculative brand identities imagine what fictional characters might create if they brought their personalities into the real world. Each project translates character quirks and narrative context into distinct visual systems, from craft beer branding to handmade knitwear to retro diner packaging. These exercises let me flex creative muscles in different design languages, all while enjoying my favorite stories.
New Girl’s bar gets its own craft beer line with a stripped-back, unpretentious identity that feels authentic to the show’s laid-back-but-sometimes-chaotic energy.
Molly Weasley’s dependability and kindness in the Harry Potter universe translate into a cozy knitwear brand with an organic, handmade feel. The warm, earthy palette and soft logo iconography reflect the character’s steadfastness and charm. With a little magic, custom orders are always efficient and made with care.
Parks and Rec’s beloved diner gets a white-label waffle mix with a playful, classic Americana feel. The teal checkerboard pattern and hand-drawn iconography capture the diner’s quirky charm and Leslie Knope’s unwavering enthusiasm for breakfast food.
